Week 9 Log

Our Covid quarantine was heavy this week. We are symptom free but had exposure, so we hunkered in for a full 14 days.

The highlight for me was the magic of ocean creatures; their secrets, their pictures and their wonder. We learned of sea urchins, coral polyps and star fish rays. We loved reading Thank You, Omu with fun voices. We delighted in painting shells, listening to Ginger Pye, listening to Liszt first published work when he was eleven, and Turner‘s painting: Grand Junction Canal at Southall Mill. We studied Spain, learning of the majesty of Alhambra, the truths in Don Quixote, the leader El CID and the democratic ways of the pirates.
