It was a hard one- this week. We are grateful it is over, but also that we can be better. Maybe someone understands this. We moved and it created stress, a volcano of unknowns: grief, pain and fear. We had an explosive week with it bubbling out of the cracks. Maybe my highlight was holding my little girls hand when she asked me not to leave or not getting into a head-on collision through a canyon when a large truck was in our lane. Little and big moments like those, tell me there is more to do than we have done. Bring on a renewing weekend and then another go at learning from change. And please be safe on the road.

Caroline’s sweetness
Caroline has quickly learned to cope with her sadness with more than drinking milk. She is down to three cups of milk and then hugs, distraction and water for the emotional roller coaster she has. She wanted to have a math book and cut out some pictures in Cole’s old one from two years ago. Her plan was to glue the pictures of the animals on her Uncle Fuzzy’s mailbox. She clings to Della and is all timid. Della bore it so much better. She wants turns to retell and I am often surprised at the comprehension especially during devotional.
Update on Olive
Dad finally found her song. It goes to the tune of Little Red Caboose. Unfortunately, her red hair maybe becoming more strawberry blond. We will see. She rolls, grabs and has what Della calls an emoji face where she keeps her tongue sticking out. She is babbling now and connects with siblings and strangers. Her car seat is not her favorite. Tickling is increasing as well as peek-a-boo and the piggies. Her brothers are delighted when they show off their sound making skills and get her giggly response. Camille loves to hold her as she sleeps. Who doesn’t?
