  1. Zoom in and out sketch

  2. Lifecycle from seed to mature plant

  3. Grow your own wildflower patch and press them for art projects

  4. Notice 5 things, share with others, then go back and notice 5 more

  5. List nouns, adjectives and verbs pertaining to a flower, meadow or vista

  6. Rainbow of flower: Learn to identify flowers of each color

  7. Numbers: count how many of a flower you see from a fixed spot

  8. Create folk art, poem or folktale inspired by a wildflower

  9. Compare a wildflower to a garden flower

  10. Sketch a wildflower in a landscape

  11. ABC list of wildflower terminology

  12. Write clues about a flower and see if a friend can identify it

  13. Collect data and make a graph of how many kinds and number of each wildflower on a hike

  14. Collect pictures of native plants. Follow regulations for collecting, depending on which land you go to you may need a permit to collect flowers, but pictures are a gentle alternative. The Wilderness Society has 9 Tips for Wildflower hunting.
