This week held outdoor time, time with family and friends and the beginning of the season of popsicles.
Things I learned
#1 From my friend Megan, I learned that one way to help children with correction is with guided questions where they think through the cause and effect to evaluate a choice.
#2 Buying bare roots from an online nursery worked. All 100 of my strawberries came to life with white blossoms. I am open to snail control ideas.
#3 My father in law shared a new story of Nashon and Moses. Stories reach hearts and help us be better. #4 Organizing the refrigerator, freezer and deep freeze is so helpful in using space and food wisely. How often do you take an inventory? #5 Socks are new for a day. #6 The history of Russia has shown me the power of unity and the beauty that comes from ashes. Russia has created powerful literature, art and music. I am fascinated by the intricate folk art and potent folk tales.
#7 History is here to help us learn to not be selfish. The best way to learn history is through the lens of a story with a hero. #8 Tulips open and close daily. They close in rain and cold. They open in light and warmth. Our souls are like tulips and vulnerability, authenticity and kindness open connection.
