Forests and Beaches

New places, new thoughts, new friends, new perspectives. We came home feeling we had grown up a bit more.

Friday: A long drive. Temple tour. Dinner with Fran’s sailing friend.

Saturday: Sunnyside, waterfall, first time for the children to see the ocean.

Sunday: Worship service with kind new friends, The Column, Columbia river walk with seals barking.

Monday: Ecola state park hike to Cresent Beach, Fort Clatsop and games at the beach house.

Tuesday: Sunset Beach, gooseneck barnacles, Tillamook cheese factory, Hug point on Arcadia Beach, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh audio book and movie. The Game of Life.

Wednesday: The four mile bridge, Cape of Disappointment State Park, North Head lighthouse, Fish and Chips at Buoy 9, a shipwreck, Peter Airedale DeLaura beach, Jacuzzi bubbles, Song of the Sea movie.

Thursday: Vacation education, Canon Beach, clam chowder, bike ride on sunset beach.

Friday: Goodbye Lewis and Clark Bungalow, finished Castle in the Attic audio book, big drive jammin’ and Mary Poppins in the Park. Staying with friends from New Mexico in Boise.

Saturday: Cousin time, drive home, unpacking…
