Memories
A lovely farm stay with a pond, tree house, horses, goats, chickens, a pig and new cousins as friends.
Muir Woods and wintering ladybug colony.
Beach combing guide written by Della, and quite an amount of vacation devoted to the hope of finding treasures.
Golden Gate Bridge peeping out of the fog.
Cannery Row and Monterey Bay Aquarium with stories and wonder. I love the complexity and softness of an octopus and the otter rock pocket.
The dunes are so colorful here. With succulent plants, grasses and flowers it makes a lovely green gray blue color palette.
Sanderlings delight me. They scuttle so frantically chasing the waves, nibbling, and then avoid the next wave with a blur of their legs.
We meal planned to eat in most the time. Della made fortune cookies that taste so much better than the restaurants. We had clam chowder, Swedish pancakes, pizza, burritos and Ghirardelli's brownies.
Silly songs with the children composing, harmonizing and rehearsing for long hours in traffic.
Seeing the strawberry and artichoke fields with people in their large hats and working hands remind me of the people who work hard so I can have the ease of grocery shopping.
